Reservation Update
McMaster will be extending its on campus quarantine stays until May 31, 2021. As details of the program beginning June 1, 2021 are finalized we will continue to update interested students. Students are encouraged to make plans to arrive before May 31 if possible.
Please make your booking at McMaster for the date you land in Canada, the Hotel McMaster team will be in contact with you to determine your arrival date to campus. Ensure that you check your emails regularly for the latest information.
NOTICE
To ensure the health and safety of both staff and students, perishable food and food deliveries from external sources are not permitted for quarantining students. Use of third-party delivery services such as UberEats, Skip the Dishes or DoorDash while in quarantine is strictly prohibited.
All students in quarantine are required to stay in their rooms until their quarantine is officially complete. University staff is actively monitoring student movement and access card usage to identify non-compliance.
Violation of the Residence Agreement & Expectations for International Quarantine Stay Students may result in suspension or expulsion from McMaster University. Violations will also be reported to Hamilton Police Services and Public Health and may be subject to charges under the Federal Quarantine Act.

For Incoming International Students
According to current federal government guidelines, all persons arriving to Canada are required to quarantine for 14 days after their arrival. McMaster international students arriving from abroad including undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and medical residents are required to quarantine on campus in McMaster’s residence buildings.

The private transportation costs from port of entry to the quarantine location are the responsibility of the international student, although the university is assisting with students arranging reservations with a transportation company of choice.
Shared family accommodations are available for students and their immediate dependents. Family accommodations include one bed per family member.
All bookings include three meals per day directly delivered to your residence room.

Before confirming your booking, all students must confirm and agree to modified Guest Expectations for International Student Quarantine Stays. These expectations are in alignment with measures outlined by the Government of Canada and have been developed in partnership with Hamilton Public Health to ensure the safety of the students and staff.

Short-Term Accommodations on Campus
Students requiring temporary accommodations while searching for off-campus housing are welcome to apply for short-term accommodations on campus.
Accommodations packages range from a two weeks to up to three months and will be located in our apartment and suite-style residences.
